Snapshot . . . . green

It's late July in Oklahoma and we still have green in our landscapes
We are confused -- normally the color of the month is brown (and crunchy)

 

I for one, could  get used to this very easily !

Snapshot - - summer rain

Four days of rain and cooler temps - - - 
a teasing preview of Autumn ? 

One can only dream/hope !

Summer Snapshot . . . . crepe myrtles

In the heat of the summer, crepe myrtle blooms

give us something to rest our eyes on --

( a pleasant relief from our burned-to-a-crisp lawns! )

 

 

Yes, they are very pretty --

but, still not enough to make me like Summer !

Summer Snapshot

I do not like Summer  -- or hot weather or days and days without even a hint of rain.

 

Which means I'm outside every evening -- watering and watering some more.

And, I'm rewarded -- with the a burst of tiger lily blooms.

 

 But, I still do not like Summer !!!
